Treed!

our dog bandit flunked hound dog school. he's part beagle but he doesn't howl (thankfully), he can't follow his trail back home if/when he gets lost and he hates water unless it's hot bath water that.. he tolerates. however the other morning when i put bandit out for his morning excerise he got in touch with his inner beagle and when i came out to see what the barking was all about this is what i found.....

he had 2 raccoons treed in the walnut tree in our back yard. fortunately no one was injured in his sudden onset of hound dogness.

George's Salt Water Aquarium

George has a new toy, he is so excited about this fish tank. It is something that he has wanted to do for a long time and didn't have the opportunity as his tank had fish in it and they weren't salt water fish. That all changed when I was given a fish tank complete with fish so we combined his fish into my new tank and he was able to convert his to salt water.
It has been a learning experiance! Both of us have had fresh water fish for years but neither one of us had any experience with salt water so it took a few false starts the help of a "good fish guy" and now he's on his way!

So I thought I'd share some pictures of some of the things that are currently thriving in his tank right now. He has some soft leather corals, some plants, a few "mushrooms", several hermit crabs and 3 shrimp, and a couple of fish .Oh yeah and a bunch of "live" rock. Thats ocean rock that never been aloud to dry out, you never know what will pop out of it!

Hope you enjoy the show and trust me it's far less complicated from this view!!!

Welcome Lucy!

There has been an addition to our family circle, one of Debbi's long time best friends Jaylene has had a new baby girl, little Lucy was born on November 25, 2008 to the glee of her older sister Rhya. The adorable new born in green hat is little Lucy. The lovely lady in the other picture is her mother Jaylene with Lucy's older sister, Rhya who was only a couple months old at the time this pic was taken. We wish lots of love and happiness upon this little girl. Congradulations to Jaylene and Joe on yet another wonderful little girl. You can see more pictures and stories about them on Jaylene's blog the link is here on our site.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year!!!

Hope you got to ring in the new year like Mr & Mrs Claus!

I just wanted to take a moment to say, to all our friends, and family; that we are so glad to have you in our lives, and that while we may not get to see you as often as we would like; you are always on our minds, in our hearts, and in our prayers. May God bless and protect you all through this year.

Lots of love from Debbi and George

Blizzard 2008!

Here are some pictures of the house buried on different days during the snow storms we had. It was pretty, kinda looked like god dropped a jar of marshmellow creme on us unfortunately it was just as messy!

More Blizzard of 2008

Ok... ok... I know a bunch of ya'll live back east and get real snow every year but out here in Salem, Oregon; we just don't get much snow. We may have 2-3 inches that's pretty normal; 4-6 inches... it happens but not all that often and any more than that..... Well let me say that in my life time this is the most snow we have had on the valley floor. So having explained our snow situation out here humor us and enjoy the pictures of The Blizzard of 2008.

Family Christmas Finally!

So Here are some pictures of us when we were finally able to get together for Christmas, the "winter wonderland" road conditions didn't make for safe traveling conditions so we waited for it to thaw. It was Sunday the 28th before we were able to get together, so not too long a wait. We all had a good time though once we were finally able to get together. That's Debbi's mom Mary in blue; by the fish tank. James and April (Debbi's brother in law and sister) playing with the singing bear. Mom gave one to each couple to lighten the mood should some tension attempt to arrive. We had Ham for dinner and lots of dessert! yum.
