George's New BBQ

Bringing the new BBQ home!!

Some assembly required? not so much just needed to tighten up the hardware and get it ready to use!! Yeah!

Here is the first dinner goin on the new grill. Broke it in with Ribs...came out perfect!MMM...MMMM.. GOOD!!
And a Very Happy George! He has been wanting this BBQ all summer long..so it's an early birthday present.

A Day in the life of Bandit (our spoiled dog)

Here is the hardest part of poor Bandit's day....the lounging around in the grass soakin up the rays.

Here is Bandit with his new orange monster, he loves these toys this one is an armadillo? for lack of better discription and he is giving Bandit fits trying to figure out how to get a good enough hold on him.

Here is Bandit the crazy Pineapple eating beast!! Yes, I said PINEAPPLE!! He also loves watermelon and cucumbers, among other various non-doggy dishes.

Dragonfly on our liliac bush

This was soo cool!!!

I was outside watering the plants this afternoon and while I was watering the liliac bush this beautiful little one landed on the liliac and basked in the sun for a couple of hours, so I was able to get some wonderful pictures!!!!

Dragonflies are one of my favorites and I don't get to see them this up close very often.

This one was very pretty and very tiny not one of the big guys that's for sure...but absolutely gorgeous!!!

Portland Zoo

Here are some of the pictures from the zoo, it was so fun!! There was sooo much to see..these don't even scratch the surface!

The elephants were out and George got a nice one of the baby...

the tomato frogs were really cool..

these two birds were "courting" on the railing aren't they pretty???

the otter was a pain to photograph!!but he was sooo cool!!!

the gorrilla? chimp? i forget..they were very interesting...

and the penguins...well who doesn't love the penguins?

George and I have different difinitions of "Batty"...LOL!!

I was playing on the oragutan swings...it was fun!!

Zoo Train

George and I drove up to Portland and spent the 4th at the Zoo. Neither of us had taken the train ride before so George got tickets for us and we gave it a try...It was fun!! I imagine it was like trains in the"olden" days you know...slow moving, and open windows (no glass, not just rolled down windows)....no train robbers though...probably a good thing!! LOL

This is the train we were on, stopped at the train station for the Japenese Gardens, we didn't go there this time but now that we know it makes that stop maybe next time.....our legs were pretty tuckered out by the time we were done with the zoo!

Here we are on the train... George... can't take him anywhere...lol... silly boy!!

These are some of the cool old trains that they had there...the one on top is still in service the little red one was in the back lot it looks like they use it for other purposes besides the train rides kinda looks like it has lumber loaded on it...they were doing some construction for new sites and improvements... but I thought it was a pretty cool little train..kinda the little engine that could..
