Bachelorette party

So here are a few pics from the bachelorette party....

First the girls arrived... Julie and Lisa blowing up balloons for a game later in which I have to pop the balloons with my butt...LOL

Then they dressed me up...all pretty...to go to dinner at my favorite mexican resturant...hence the sombaro in the following pic.. Gotta love Teresa and Ubence they played along with the crazy girls!

Wow!!.. how much did I druink??? LOL!!! We had a great time!!!

Bandit's treat

I hadn't done this before but I had heard stories of how humorous this treat was so I had to give it a try.. Bandit was the benefactor/victim of this treat...We had just finished a jar of peanut butter, so I gave him the jar to finish up... here is the hilarious result!!!

Little Miss Muffett

ok so I was out in the yard watering plants when I came across this little "gem".... he was quite a distrubing sight but somehow intrigueing as well... so I took a couple of pictures of him and his huge web...before George came along and squished him.... so here is the freaky big spider.

bridal shower

Here is the cake from the bridal shower that Julie slaved over!! It was lemon flavored goodness... with doves on top..

George & Donna visit 2006

I just found these pictures of George and Donna's visit out here in 2006. Unfortunately this was just before George and I started seeing one another so I missed this visit but I'm looking forward to getting to meet them in person... not just talking on the phone. Hopefully we get to do a trip back east next year(?) to see everyone!

Close Call

So here was a bit of excitement... our neighbors tree lost a huge limb yesterday! They have 2 huge old oak trees in their front yard
and yesterday one of them gave way.. fortunately it didn't do any damage other than to the tree and leaving a family of squirrels homeless temporarily.. I think they've already relocated to our walnut tree. Angels must have been watching since the neighbor doesn't usually park as far forward in the driveway as she did this particular morning. Good thing otherwise her car wouldv'e been a casuality!

Life is a Highway!!!

Here we are on the open road, for what seems like the first time in AGES!!

So glad to get out and let the wind blow the worries away....We have to do this more often!!
It's good for my mental health!! LOL.. I know most of you think that's crazy but believe me it's the best therapy!!

So here are some of the sights we saw when we finally got to get away on the bike and blow some cobwebs out!!!!! It was a MUCH needed day of just enjoying the sights, sounds, smells and feel of the wind in your face.... it was a very good day..
I took these pics from the back of the bike as we were... going by... so sit back and enjoy the rolling scenery.
as you can see we spent a good part of the day in farm county...which was nice..hop fields, hay balers. Then we wandered out to McMinville where the air muesem that houses the Spruse Goose is we didn't stop this time, that's on the agenda for another day. Then on the way home we passed the lumber mill, which was nice to see it looked busy.
