Easter Day

George found these really cool flowers for Easter they are called sun star he picked one up for me and one for mom.I thought they were very unusual and very pretty!Easter was nice, We had a wonderful dinner. Mom came with pineapple rings, maraschino cherries, cloves and and a new glaze George tried that had marionberry in it. I know it sounds a bit off the beaten path but it was yummy!

George wanted to do a boiled ham with cabbage but since we just had corned beef and cabbage last month for our annual St Patrick's Day feast i was not up to that! He did get his boiled cabbage though so both he and Rick were happy as could be, mom and i had baked ham which was fabulous so all in all i think everyone won that one.

MOVING TO KOREA???!!!!

APRIL FOOLS

yes, i know it's late but i had to share George's attempt to fool me. He called me as i was on my way to work on the 1st and was chit chatting away when the conversation took an odd turn. He says well, pack up we're moving. UMM, WHERE? i asked. he then proceeds to tell me that the post office wants a mililtary liason posted in Korea and he was selected for the job. so pack up we are moving to KOREA. i was almost going along with the story except for a few things the first being he picked korea of all places ....and he knows better than to leave out something BIG like putting in for a transfer... and the post office like any big company or government agency doesn't move that fast even if they want to...so then i was left with the fact that it was April 1st, therefore not buying it... i give him an A++ for creativity and an A for effort even if ultimately it was a failed attempt! LOL!

WEDDING DATE

Yes, we have the official Wedding Date, the magic number is 29. As in September 29, 2009.

We are still working on most of...ok... honestly... all of the details but the important thing is we have the date!!

SPRING??!!!!

<

Well the much anticipated fushia week has arrived!

This is practically a holiday at our house, mostly for me but George humors me with it.

I drug George down to the store to do my yearly purchase of fushia starts.... and a few other flowers that sometimes jump in the cart...ok ..ok...always jump in the cart.

So here is me having fun with all the little plants. I have made 6 hanging baskets so far but I have to go back on monday after work to see what the truck brought in(new shipment) since the kind that George really likes wasn't there today. I'm hoping that it comes in on the truck tomorrow.

So take a break from the rain, and the snow and the grey clouds and enjoy the pretty flowers I'm working on this year.

joyous abandon

This fish is (Finding) Nemo's cousin, he's a salt water clown fish who unlike Nemo isn't supposed to need an anemome to live in. However when he started treating a piece of the coral like an anemome George thought maybe he'd better get him one anyway to keep him from wreckin havoc on the coral. It took a couple of days for him to figure out what the anemome was for but boy howdy once he did!!! He was diving in full speed ahead, swimming, and hiding in it's tentacles to his little hearts content. I didn't think it was possible for a fish to express joy but we watched the most joyous expression I have ever seen from any creature! He was practically dancing! He's hardly left his new friend since he discovered him. I would hate to see what he'd been like if he really needed an anemome. haha

george's electra glide dream

George went looking at/drooling over new toys and came to the conclusion that this was THE BIKE. Well, maybe not this exact one but most definately one like it. He took one for a test ride and that turned him completly against his bike he currently has. ok maybe not completely but definately put it in a less than flattering light. So now we plan and save for this new pretty. It will take a little bit of time and the wait will be hard on George as patience is a virtue that's still being perfected in him. Tommorow is too long a wait for him on this bike! But it will be soooo worth it!

This dream machine that George has gone crazy for is a Harley Davidson Electra Glide. I have to admit it is pretty and I am looking forward to the day when it will be sitting our drive way cooling down after a long ride.
